私にとって多感な10代にヨガに出会えたことは幸運なことでした。33年の数々のハタヨガの経験と実践、ヨガ指導歴は23年間です。様々なスタイルの尊敬する先生方から指導を受け、体と心の調和、心の平安を求め、毎日の勉強、実践を続けています。ヨガはもちろん、野口整体やそれをベースにするボディワーク「快気法」、骨盤調整を中心に全身をメンテナンスするメソッドの「ビューティ・ペルビィス®」体からのアプローチにより心身の調和を求め、様々な側面から学びを深めます。

この世界においては、この体があってこそダルマが果たせるのです。その制限まで含めて、体に敬意を払い大切にすること、そして全てにおいて健やかであると実感できるように…、そこから究極的には人間性の成長、魂の進化をめざしたい。ハタヨガの実践はそれが目的だからです。」

全米ヨガアライアンス200終了、YIC修了、YTIC受講中

Mayumi is certified as RYT 200 through Yoga Alliance.

 

She has also been certified by YIC, and is in the process of YTIC certification at Japan Yoga Niketan.

 

Mayumi was fortunate to be introduced to yoga as a teen. She has 33 years of experience practicing different hatha yoga styles, and 23 years of teaching experience. She has received teachings from many respected teachers of different styles. Mayumi continually studies and practices every day with the intention to further harmonize her body and mind, and to achieve peace in her mind and heart. Besides yoga, she practices and teaches the Noguchi Seitai method and bodywork based on this method called “Kaiki-Hou”. In addition, she teaches Beauty Pelvis®, a method through which the entire body maintenance is accomplished by focusing on bringing balance to the pelvic area. In her classes she seeks to help students find balance through a physical approach in which the student can also deepen their knowledge of their mind and heart.

 

“As Buddha has said, ‘The physical body is a vehicle for a soul.’ The body is not something lesser than spirit. In this world, this body enables us to perform our own dharma. We therefore should cherish our body by paying respect to even its limitations. May we experience wellness in all aspects of life. From that base we can ultimately aspire to greater growth in our human nature and evolution in our soul. This is what hatha yoga practice aims at.”

ゆっくりしたペースで体を動かしながら始めます。アイソメトリックな負荷をかけながら呼吸に意識を集中するエクササイズなど、筋肉の緊張と弛緩のバランスを整え、自律神経の働きを高めて心身を安定させます。体を大きく十分に動かす時間をもつことでリフレッシュし、その後のリラックスを深めます。

 

その日の体調、気持ちに寄り添いながら、無理せず1番いいところまで。

 

年齢、経験を問わないオープンクラスです。シニアの方も歓迎します。

 

* new to Yoga and up to 1-2 years of practice

We begin with moving the body at a slow pace. We then focus attention on the breath as we apply isometric contraction. This creates balance between tension and relaxation in the muscles, which enhances the function of the autonomic nervous system and stabilizes the body-mind. We refresh by taking enough time to move our body, which deepens the relaxation that follows.

Our primary concern is not to force as we practice in accordance with how one feels and the condition of one's body that day.

This class is open to anyone, and no particular experience is required. Any age is welcomed, including seniors.
